During the month of September, we are celebrating the rich artisan culture of The Adelaide Hills by taking part of the Hahndorf Handmade Festival. All around the main street, there will be workshops, masterclasses, and other events that explore the creativity that happens here in the Heart of The Hills! This includes: food & drinks, fashion, craft and the wonderous story-telling of the Adelaide Hills history.
During the festival, we will have two workshops that happen in The Haus Restaurant. These workshops are small and only happen once during the month, so booking early is highly advised!
Japanese Shibori Silk Scarf Workshop
In this workshop, you will be preparing for a blissful spring by making your very own gorgeous silk scarf!
You will be taken through a workshop where you will learn the Japanese dying technique of Shibori.
Enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles or a soft drinks on arrival.
Terrarium Workshop
Join artists Cathy Gray and Karen Judd during an evening at The Haus and make a terrarium using an open glass bowl!
Finely curate your own little eco-system with stones, plants, soil and sand and take it home with you.
